If you pass our initial tests you will be able to sign for your loan and submit your complete application.
After you submit, we will assess your application and email you with either a 'yes' or a 'no'.
If it's a 'yes', our email will contain everything you need to obtain the funds. If it is a ‘no’ you will not be given the loan.
We offer a simple and secure process for you to apply for a loan online at any time.
We offer the 7 Day Loan, Flexi Loan and Long Term Loan. With these three products we offer a wide range of loan amounts and repayment periods to suit different needs. Please use the information found on this page and the loan product boxes and sliders to determine what loan best suits you. Once you are happy with your selection click on 'APPLY NOW' to complete the relevant application form.
You apply entirely online. There is no paperwork to fill in or meetings with us. You will need your red Gibraltar ID Card, a valid email address, personal and employment details including three months of payslips and details of your regular income and outgoings. If you pass our initial tests, you will be able to sign for your loan online before submitting your application. We will then get in touch with you to inform you of our decision. If you are unsure whether a loan is right for you then you must not agree to the loan agreement and other documents provided.
We aim to respond to an application as soon as possible, usually within 3 working days. This could be even faster for the 7 Day Loan and the Flexi Loan. There are only two possible responses: Yes, you have been approved and our email will contain everything you need to obtain the funds, or, No: We are not giving you a loan. This will also be communicated by email.
If you have been denied, then there is nothing further to do. If you have been approved, our email will contain a link to a secure page which will allow you to decide the date on which you want the funds transferred to your account and you will also provide us with the necessary details to make the payment and to setup automatic repayment. Once you complete this, we receive an automatic notification of this having been done.
We ask for the details of your proposed Guarantor at the application stage. This does not apply to the 7 Day Loan. We may contact the proposed Guarantor to satisfy ourselves that a person's name has not been used fraudulently to secure a loan. If you are successful, we will email your Guarantor directly with a link to sign the Guarantee and Indemnity electronically. When the Guarantor signs, we receive an automatic notification of this. We then transfer your funds to your bank account.
Once the Loan Agreement and the Guarantee and Indemnity are signed we shall send you the money straightaway. You will be notified when this is done. When you receive the funds is subject to how quickly your bank can process the payment.
If you are successful in your application we will provide you with a link to a secure page to provide your debit card details so that we may take payments due directly from your account on the agreed repayment date(s). You don't have to do anything else.
You can repay your loan before the end of the loan term at no charge. This can also save you money as you only pay interest for the days you have borrowed. You can arrange this in your USER ACCOUNT by clicking on the MAKE A ONE OFF PAYMENT button. This will provide you with clear instructions. Alternatively, you can contact us on repayments@thryft.gi so that we can explain the process or arrange this for you.
If you miss a repayment and it has not been paid within 3 days of its due date we are entitled to charge you a £30.00 late repayment fee. This applies to all our products. Continuous interest is added to the balance per day at a rate which varies between our products. This information is contained both in our Pre-Contractual Information that we provide before you enter into a contract with us and in the Loan Agreement. These charges will be added to your balance until the late repayment is made. If the default persists we will try to find a mutually beneficial solution, but we are entitled to terminate the loan and call in the entire remaining balance with interest.

Once you make your final repayment, we will send you an email confirming that you have paid off your loan. That's it until you decide to apply again! :)
Once you are approved you can access your USER ACCOUNT by clicking on the SIGN IN button on the website header. From here you will be able to keep track of your loan progress and make payments towards your outstanding sum.
Our products are only available to 18 year olds and over.
We only accept applicants with a red Gibraltar ID Card (Blue Civilian Registration Cards are not accepted).
You must be employed or have a regular income stream.
Having a bank account is crucial as we only transfer money online.
You need an email address to activate your account and receive documentation.
